The Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar hosted yesterday, 3 March, the traditional memorial Mass organized by Mémora, a tribute that brought together more than 2,000 people to remember those who passed away during the last semester of 2025.
With this gathering, Mémora celebrated its 24th Religious Memorial in Barcelona, conceived as a space for recollection and accompaniment for families. The Eucharist was presided over by the Archbishop of Barcelona, Cardinal Monsignor Joan Josep Omella i Omella, and included several symbolic moments, such as the lighting of candles representing five emotions associated with loss: courage, love, remembrance, hope, and mourning.
