Programme Notes:
A journey through five centuries of organ music, from the Iberian tradition of Antonio de Cabezón to the contemporary musical language of Jürgen Essl and Guy Bovet. The programme brings different European organ traditions into dialogue through variations, canzonas, tientos and pieces of a freer character, featuring works by Pasquini, Gabrieli, Haydn and Böhm. A musical journey revealing the continuity and transformation of organ music over the centuries.
