During the performance of the Song of the Sibyl and the Midnight Mass, the Capella de Música de Santa Maria del Mar will perform motets and Christmas carols by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, George Frideric Handel, Morten Lauridsen, Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Michael Praetorius, among others.
Santa Maria del Mar was the first place in Catalonia to restore the Song of the Sibyl in 1984, under the direction of Enric Gispert. Since then, the tradition has been maintained without interruption.
