Parish Càritas: Welcome, Sharing, and Care for Those in Need

Our parish Càritas is a space of encounter between volunteers and a group of mothers and children who come together to share life, time, joy, and even traditional dishes. Most of them are of Maghrebi origin and have arrived in our country in very difficult and precarious circumstances.

With them, we share the hope of a more just future; we laugh together and, at times, we also weep together. We play, organise visits and activities that help the children and their mothers become more familiar with their surroundings and with the country that has welcomed them.

As far as possible, we seek to respond to certain needs that remain unmet by social services.

We also assist some individuals who are living on the streets, offering specific financial and material support. They are people we know personally, by name, and whom we have accompanied for some time—individuals who are often reluctant to enter the orbit of social services.

As our volunteers often say: We receive far more than we give.

We meet on Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

If you believe that the Gospel of Jesus calls us to love above all those who have the least,
if you wish to share your time with commitment and a genuine desire to love and be loved,
if you have skills in working with children or with community groups—

We look forward to welcoming you.
