Beginning in January, the Community of Parishes comprising Parròquia de Sant Miquel del Port, Parròquia de Sant Pere de les Puel·les and Basílica de Santa Maria del Mar, together with Acció Catòlica General, will host a series of formation and prayer gatherings in preparation for the Jubilee 2025, convoked by Pope Francis.
These four morning sessions are intended to rediscover the Second Vatican Council and to reread it in the light of the present times in which we are called to live.
Entitled “Pilgrims of Hope”, the series combines formation and prayer, seeking the grace of deep listening to the Holy Spirit, together with opportunities for group sharing or personal prayer. As the organisers explain, the aim is “to reinterpret and renew the role of the Church in today’s world, to rediscover how God speaks to us now, and to reflect upon the vocation and mission of the laity in the Church and in the world.”
Programme
The sessions will take place on Saturdays, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the TP Xavier School (Av. de Francesc Cambó, 12 – 08003 Barcelona).
Each gathering will consist of a 45-minute talk, providing a basis for reflection on the Church today and the role of the laity in our world.
